Stay tuned, America... and Beyond!

It has been little more than a week since I presented AutoLingo at 1 Million Cups, and WOW, a flurry of activity has happened since then! I have met and face-to-face and via phone with other entrepreneurs for gathering valuable ideas and advice from them, I have another one planned tomorrow, and I have been empowered to present myself more boldly and start talking about AutoLingo with more definition and confidence. And opportunities seem to leap to my mind, my sight, my ears, more and more. I also discovered hoards of work and correspondence I had done toward AutoLingo since (gulp) 2010. But one word is going to tame and funnel what I will do: SERVE. In what way can I serve companies, other entrepreneurs and their customers? In whatever manner I offer my expertise to other entrepreneurs and businesses and organizations and communities, it will be with the intention to serve that entity. Stay tuned, America... and beyond!

1 Million Cups Presentation

THANK YOU everyone at the  local 1 Million Cups meeting yesterday, especially those who gave awesomely useful feedback, and for the great coaching session afterward! I know I had previously written that I would complete a benchmarking trip to the DIY Garage Indy, but that did not happen. It is perfectly fine, though, because I will focus more on the core of AutoLingo, which is the language consulting in regards to translation and terminology. Stay tuned, folks!

Next Steps: Prepping for Indianapolis Trip and 1 Million Cups

Thank you all for visiting my blog after such a long hiatus of any new posts! It has been almost a year since I last posted, but I haven't been idle all this time. Since then I have hosted an exchange student from Korea (who has interest in engineering!), added another agency to my freelance Spanish/English interpretation services, and attended the two-day SAE International Standards Leadership Workshop at their headquarters in Warrendale, Pennsylvania.

But none of this has to do with my last post about the DIY garage idea. Well, it has not died:

  • I created my first Facebook event invite for Sunday, July 10, 2016 (yes, the one-year anniversary of my last blog post), for a Self-Serve Garage Interest Meeting, which will prepare for a trip down to DIY Garage Indy. Let me know if you are interested in receiving an invite (even if you are not on Facebook; I just need your e-mail address)
  • I am also excited to announce that I will be presenting AutoLingo at 1 Million Cups on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Sweetwater Sound! Now, this is not a sales pitch, but rather an opportunity to present about my venture for 6 minutes and get feedback and coaching. Check out 1 Million Cups to learn more about it, and I hope to see you there! Now... I'm off to TekVenture to try to catch the end of their meeting!

Stay tuned, folks!

Pitch Fest 2015!

Well, it's been too long again, folks, since I have updated this blog. Thanks to Start Fort Wayne, I am encouraged to keep this blog site updated with exciting news and tips!

Coming up soon is Pitch Fest 2015, where entrepreneur-minded people submit ideas, narrow them down to a few, and form teams to implement the ideas! I submitted the idea of a DIY garage in the Fort Wayne area. You'll have to come on out to hear the rest of my idea! I encourage you to submit your own ideas for Pitch Fest for what you would like to see come to fruition in the Fort Wayne area!

Long-awaited Update

Well, as you can tell, I have neglected this blog since I started it. I have been quite busy, and I'll catch you up on what I've been up to soon.

Meanwhile, someone else beat me to the idea of posting free air pumps, and although I cannot vouch for their accuracy, here are links to websites claiming to list free air pump locations:
  • freeairpump.com features a user-generated searchable map, that also features a blog about cycling topics
  • freetireair.com also features a user-generated map

Welcome to Autolingo!

Hello, fellow cybersearchers! This is AutoLingo, where I intend to do several things concerning automobiles. First, my goal is to post a list of places in the Allen County area where you can get air in your tires for free, preferably self-serve. I had to pay 50 cents today for some air today... I know I could have gotten some for free, but I do not know where! Do you know of a place? Please feel free to post it here!
